A short story told with a single folded photograph.
The project involved creating a set of unique patterns based on a five by five grid. I found a method of folding up a photograph so that every square was used, but each way it was folded was unique. Eventually, this process ended up producing the first five series' of five individual images.
Great story-telling is just strategically withholding information.
Based on this idea, I wanted to see if I could tell a compelling story with a single photo, to see if by making it difficult to read it was more interesting. It's a bit like Sol Lewitt's Cubes meets Hemingway's Baby Shoes, but maybe more complicated and hopefully less depressing.
